Bob is a 40+ year veteran of natural resource management in Mississippi and retired from the Mississippi Department of Wildlife and Fisheries in 1999. Receiving a BS in Forestry and a MS in Wildlife Ecology from Mississippi State University, he is a Certified Wildlife Biologist with The Wildlife Society and a Registered Forester in Mississippi (RF#952). Bob became a licensed real estate agent in October 2004 and joined the Mississippi Land Company team to establish a presence in the Starkville area where he and his family have resided since 1978. As a lifelong public servant, Bob has always enjoyed helping landowners develop and meet their objectives of ownership. In addition to teaching a class in the Wildlife and Fisheries Department at MSU, he often guest lectures at other classes on topics including developing landowner objectives, writing management plans, and deer management. Much of Bob’s recent work has been with private landowners in developing comprehensive forest/wildlife management plans, developing baseline reports for conservations easements, and in quality deer management programs. He is a Life Member of the Mississippi Wildlife Federation and the National Rifle Association, and a member of The Wildlife Society, the Quality Deer Management Association, the Boone and Crockett Club, and the National Wild Turkey Federation. In addition to doing volunteer work with the Mississippi-based Catch-A-Dream program, he has also served on the Advisory Committee for the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries at Mississippi State University. Honors and Awards: Graduated with Distinction, Mississippi State University, 1969; Member of Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society; Member of Xi Sigma Pi National Forestry Honor Society; Selected as Mississippi’s 1st Outstanding Young Forester, 1975; Wildlife Conservationist of the Year, 1988; Oktibbeha County SWCD Humanitarian Award; MS Sheriffs Boys and Girls Ranch Wildlife Federation Wildlife Conservationist of the Year, 1999; Catch-A-Dream 1st Volunteer of the Year, 2004.
